Teething baby

Thomas is teething and is a little cranky. He's still playing and mostly happy, but he fusses more and is a lot more clingy. Poor guy is having some allergy problems due to the So. Cal weather. Stuffy nose and little cough.
Last night we don't know if it's cause he's not feeling 100% or if he was having some nightmares, but he was not sleeping well. I fell asleep with him on my chest on the couch. He was so squirmy but his eyes were closed and he kept crying. I felt so bad and wanted to do something to make him more comfortable. Poor guy, he's been through so much!!
He is so cute and very playful after his dinner time. He likes to dance to his favorite song "Shortenin' Bread". He also likes to play with a wet washcloth throwing it in the air and laughing. So cute.
This Thanksgiving we do have so much to be thankful for. We pray that Thomas will be our baby forever and that we will get to raise him up knowing the Lord.
Agh, we are so blessed to have him in our home right now!!

John was like that too when he was teething. All I could do was lay with him on my chest and rub his back and just hold him. It's the best way (for you and Thomas) to get through teething, I think.

Every now and then, try giving Thomas a wet washcloth that you've put in the freezer to chew on. The cold will help his gums.

Trish and Jim,
I just read Debby your blog entries from the day you received Thomas up the last entry on Wednesday. It was fun to see the two of you become mom and dad over those few days.
Thomas is very blessed to be with the two of you.

Is there anything that you need. You have mentioned receiving things from others. Given that our kids are 34, 32, and 29 we don't have any hand-me-downs that would fit unless Thomas is a lot bigger than we imagine! We know from experience that there is always something that would be good to have, so please let us know.

Praising God with you.
Blessings and Peace,
John and Debby

Our little guy just cut two teeth this Thanksgiving week and had all the same symptoms your Thomas is having...crying in his sleep, etc. We are using homeopathic Hylands teething pills that dissolve instantly under the tongue and help calm him down - with a lot of extra mommy time. He's been pretty clingy, too.
