What happened

Today was the beginning of many important court hearings for Thomas. The only news to report is that the next hearing is set for January 15th. However, we are thankful to announce that we recieved permission to take Thomas with us to Montana next week. We are so thankful that he will be with us, hopefully get to see his first snow and enjoy a Christmas with the Huston's.

He is discovering his vocals and Jim & I are losing our hearing. Everything I've read says to ignore the outbursts so they learn that when they scream, they don't get attention. At times, we will look at him, put our finger to our lips and whisper "Shh". Then we place our finger over his lips and whisper "Shh". Hopefully he's learning that we don't yell and that when we put our finger over our mouth we whisper. Nonetheless, Jim & I are enjoying each moment we have with Thomas. He loves to dance to music, especially Hot Dog on the Mickey Mouse Club. He giggles when we tickle him and he loves to play hide-and-seek in his room. Even though we can see him, he loves it when we say "Boo, I see you." His smile can melt your heart, especially when it's a big one and you see his shiny teeth. When he cries and wants to be hugged, it feels so good to wrap him in our arms and kiss him. He loves the dogs, and says "bok" to them. I think he's saying "bark" but he says it even when he holds up their food bowl. He is curious about everything and likes to move a lot. He loves his yogurt and baba of milk. He made me smile today on my walk, while pushing him in the stroller. He was grabbing his feet and singing nananana or something like that. His expressions each day when we eat are so cute, especially when he wrinkles his nose and says "ahahah". Nothing is more rewarding than having him reach for us in the morning and say "mama, dada". Those words are so precious to us. We thank God for the blessing of having him in our home. We pray that Thomas will know the Lord and trust Him always. We pray that Thomas will know that so many people have prayed and love him. We pray that Thomas knows that his "mama and dada" will always be there for him. We pray that Thomas will be with us forever.
Thank you for your continued prayers.............

We are so happy for you Jim and Patricia and Thomas. You look like a perfect fit for a family and like you all are so in love. Thomas is adorable. All of the things you describe in your blog I can just see Thomas' sweet face doing. He is a blessing.
