The little Handy Helper

Thomas has a set of play tools, and he loves to help fix things. Sometimes he'll lay his firetruck or train on it's side say "Uh oh broke" then use his screwdriver or drill on it. After a few minutes he yells "yea" and it's all fixed. When Jim sits on the floor in his bedroom, Thomas will push Jim over, and say "uh oh Daddy broke". He takes his tools and pushes on Jim's toes or side and says "yea". The other night we played that way with Daddy for about 30 minutes. Jim said he was happy to be broke.

Today he turned the TV off and said "uh oh". When I told him we couldn't watch it because it was broke, he went stomping off to his bedroom to get his "toolbox" (a plastic box we put stickers on and put his tools in). He came out carrying it, set it in front of the TV and went "hmm". He took the screwdriver out, but that didn't work. He tried the wrench, that didn't work. He took his drill and WALLA that worked. He jumped with joy and said "YEA". So now we'll watch the choo choo on TV then take our afternoon nap.

I love watching his imagination. I'm thinking between his Daddy fixing his toys and watching Handy Manny, he thinks he's a Handy Helper, too.
