So Thomas is nearing age 2 and acting like it. While we are trying to just shower him with unconditional love, we also want to discipline him correctly so he knows right from wrong.
What do you do when you're in the parking lot (of a store) and getting child out of cart. He throws a huge tantrum and flails his body all over. Then he grabs my hair, and I mean grabs my hair. He rips a handful (not full full but just a lot) of my hair and hits my glasses. What do you do? How do you handle it? I will be bald by the time he's 5 if I don't stop that behavior.
We love him and know he's almost 2, so some of this behavior is "normal" as he's testing us. Time outs at this age are pretty much useless. We don't believe in spanking, although we feel that if needed an occasional swat on the butt is okay. Some have said to take 2 fingers and swat his hand saying "NO" but that doesn't seem to phase him.
Any ideas for discipling a 2 year old????
